Regional Manager

CropUSA is an expanding national crop insurance provider
headquartered in Lewiston, Idaho. We are currently
selecting experienced crop insurance Regional Managers for
the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, and Washington.
Individuals considered for this position should have crop
insurance experience and a block of established business;
however, we will consider other candidates with Property
& Casualty insurance experience and an active crop
insurance license.
Our Regional Managers receive a commission override on
their business. Your income represents the business
your agents/agencies produce within your territory with
paid renewals and no cap on earnings. Standard company
benefits include 401K plan, health, dental, life insurance,
and possible company stock ownership.
Regional Managers will report to and work closely with the
National Sales Manager. CropUSA will provide field
training for our partner agencies. RMA required
classroom instruction is offered by our AIP.
The Regional Manager must have the following minimum
skills:
- Ability to develop relationships with crop
insurance agencies within assigned territory
- Ability to travel aggressively within assigned
territory (overnight travel required)
- Maintain and work from a home office
- Excellent computer skills and experience with
Microsoft Excel and Word applications
- Ability to understand production reports, set
and achieve territory goals and monitor sales
activity
- Successful and documented track record of sales
and territory development
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to close sales, as well as maintain
strong customer service for repeat sales
- Ability to work well within a team environment
with a strong desire to obtain individual success

Job Title: Chief Underwriter & Processing Manager
Reports To: Office Manager, President
Purpose: To apply underwriting rules and procedures
to process MPCI and crop-hail insurance policies.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the department that underwrites and processes MPCI and
crop-hail insurance.
- Assist agents and field processors with any questions regarding
crop insurance.
- Understand and interpret FCIC and crop-hail plans, and educate
agents and field processors about those plans.
- Analyze and research detailed policy information related to FCIC
error resolution.
- Coordinate the work of department personnel by planning and
directing work assignments.
- Review documents for accuracy and timeliness.
- Interpret and communicate policies and procedures to department
staff and sales force.
- Prepare, print, and analyze a variety of reports and policy forms.
- Update and maintain department procedures manual and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Complete knowledge of the MPCI program and FCIC reporting systems.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and maintain peer and business
relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, manage time
effectively and handle multiple responsibilities.
Job Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of MPCI insurance underwriting and/or claims
experience.
- Direct supervision of processing staff, to include training,
guidance and problem solving.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position requires supervisory experience.
