Since 1968, CropUSA and its affiliates have developed
programs and provided insurance products for farmers through independent agents. Our
marketing and administrative staff has over 100 years of combined working experience
with the company in the farm insurance market. That experience includes affinity
and association sponsored programs for co-ops, farm associations and other groups.
We are currently interviewing agents for membership
in the Green Leaf Alliance, an exclusive group of agents who want more control
over their product placements, new product development, and contracts that drive future growth.
The Green Leaf Alliance is a business service
organization created by agents for agents to assist its Members by providing tools, support,
and training, making them better able to provide product and service to their customers. In
the current crop environment, we expect agency consolidations and other business changes to
occur, resulting in fewer but higher quality agents who will better serve American farmers. The
Green Leaf Alliance is managed by a board of directors, comprised of member agents.
The Alliance will pool business for better market
leverage, develop new insurance products, provide marketing and sales support, offer agent education
and training, and provide investment opportunities such as, initially, a new reinsurance company
for its Members. Active crop insurance agents, field marketing organizations, and general
agents are eligible to apply for membership in the Alliance. Member agents (a) will pay
general membership dues; (b) may provide capital in the reinsurance company; and (c) will have the
option to contract as sub-agents with CropUSA.
It is the belief of the Alliance that it will benefit
AIPs and the RMA as well by (a) strengthening the agent force; (b) increasing the availability of
commercial reinsurance; and (c) providing a good partner on program-wide issues.
As a contracted agent and member of the Green Leaf Alliance,
you will have access to:
- Additional non crop products and revenue
- Collaborative marketing, sales support and training
- Agency acquisition funding
- Participation in agent owned reinsurance captive
- Added Member benefits
